If you’re looking for spells for summoning spirits, this is definitely an article you will want to read. There are several reasons you may want to do this… Perhaps you have a friend or loved one you would like to communicate with or someone that you have unfinished business with that has already entered the afterlife. Whatever you’re reason may be I feel obligated to warn you that this is serious business and not for the meek and weak of heart. The following is a spell that comes highly recommended by Edain McCoy from Everything Under the Moon entitled “Spell to Summon a Spirit.”
If your object is to summon ancestral spirits from the afterlife then this may be the perfect incantation for you to practice:
Step 1:
Because you will be creating a portal with incense in order to summon spirits from the otherworld it is important to construct an altar that is surrounded with images and objects of power that relate to them, perhaps personal possessions that they once had in order to pay tribute to them.
After you have created a circle reinforced with these things and protected with other assisting spells that you see fit, use wormwood, cinnamon, and lavender and place these things on burning hot coals.
Step 2:
At this point you will be able to summon your beloved ancestral spirits with the following incantation:
“Blood of my blood, you spirits of love,
Come from below and from above;
Entities loving who wish me well,
Come to this circle when I sound the bell. ”
Step 3:
From here you will use a small bell and commit the act of ringing it three times as a welcoming tone to your ancestral spirits. In addition, it is customary to welcome them verbally if you wish.
Step 4:
After you have made your peace with the spirits you will need to close the portal. To do this, make sure to ring a bell seven more times and then in order to assist the spirits to go back from which they came using the portal as an exit point. Close the circle and let yourself rest for a minute.
Conclusion
This is not a spell or incantation for a beginner however it is widely used and extremely effective. If you want my recommendation, I would suggest that before you conduct this incantation, take a few minutes and prepare what you want to say. When you awake the spirit world even if they are ancestral spirits, you are playing with a power that is unimaginable and therefore this should be done with extreme caution and respect.
